Tseluyko V.I., Kravchenko N.A., L'vova A.B., Lyashenko A.V.

The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of polymorphism of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene on peculiarities of clinical process of such cardiovascular pathologies as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, coronary arterial disease, and arterial hypertension. The polymorphism of the ACE gene was studied in 98 patients: 38 with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, 35 with coronary arterial disease and 25 with arterial hypertension. Nuclear DNA was extracted from blood leukocytes by phenol-chloroform method. Genotypes of ACE gene were determined using polymerase chain reaction followed agarose gel electrophoresis. It has been established that I/D polymorphism of the ACE gene has important modificative significance in clinical process at the mentioned diseases.
