РЕЗЮМЕ. Під час даного дослідження проводили цитологічне вивчення 4 популяцій 3 видів роду Arthraxon P. Beauv. з різних місцевостей гарячої пустелі Індії, Раджастхану. Два з трьох видів мали n = 14 (A. lanceolatus та A. lancifolius), у той час як A. hispidus продемонстрував кількість хромосом n = 18. A. lanceolatus демонструє біваленти різного розміру, тобто два великі і дванадцять невеликих бівалентів, у той час як A. lancifolius має біваленти нормального однакового розміру. Раніше ці біваленти великого розміру могли плутати з тетравалентами, але під час A-I чітко зрозуміло, що кількість хромосом складає 2n = 28. Це перше повідомлення про таку кількість хромосом (n = 14) щодо виду з цього роду з новою запропонованою кількістю пар хромосом x = 7, тому цей вид вважається тетраплоїдним. Це перші повідомлення з Раджастхану щодо хромосом всіх трьох видів та різних мейотичних аномалій, наприклад, відставання хромосоми, множинних мостів, цитоміксису, перенесення хроматину, що призводить до аномального мікроспорогенезу та низького рівня життєздатності пилку.
