SUMMARY. A molecular genetics study of polymorphic locus C-159T CD14 gene in 31 children with recurrent episodes of acute obstructive bronchitis and 50 of human beings taken by random sampling, that are included in a control group. The study did not record statistically probable increased frequency of genotypes CC, CT and TT polymorphic locus C-159T CD14 gene among children of the main group compared with the control group. However, there is a trend toward more frequent occurrence of TT genotype of the polymorphic locus C-159T CD14 ge-ne among children with recurrent episodes of acute bronchitis than in control group (32,25 % vs. 22,0 %).
