SUMMARY. Increase of specific weight in blood relationship of Golshtinsky breed which belongs to the best cultural dairy breeds of the world is one of the main ways of improving genotypes of dairy cattle in many countries of the world. The wide applying in dairy animal husbandry of biotechnologies, large-scale selection has caused using of limited contingent of manufacturing bulls that has led to appearance of newborn calves with various anomalies having often the heritable basis caused both by mutations of genes, and chromosomal violations. In view of the fact that the main part of such anomalies is inherited on recessive type, they represent the hidden genetic freight, which is not always shown in a phenotype. The importance of the cytogenetic analysis and kariotyping has the increasing value not only by consideration of theoretical prerequisites in recent years, but also in case of the solution of the applied tasks directed to prevention of damage caused to agricultural production. Results of the cytogenetic analysis of North Caucasian population of the cows of Golshtinsky breed having problems in reproduction are given in the article. Presence of the aberration cells which frequency of occurrence, on average 5,35 %, quantity of aberrations on one researched cell, on average, 0,05/1,0 has constituted; absence the reciprocal translocations in a karyotype of the researched livestock. It is shown genealogical interrelations of ancestors in the lines of manufacturing bulls of Montivik-Сhifteyn № 95679 and Reflekshn-Sovering № 198998 in which posterity dead newborn calves had been noted.
