The factors and the ways of the influence of macromolecules on mutation process are considered. The antimutagenic effect of the combined application of lectins and N-methyl- N’-nitro-N- nitrosoguanidine on mutagenesis in chinese hamster cells has been shown. The experimental frequency of mutations induced by the both compounds was statistically reliably lower than the theoretically expected one in the case of their independent summary action. The possibility of existence of mutual targets and mechanisms of the action of different mutagenic agents on cellular DNA are discussed.
