Inheritance of characters of color of spike and grain and its morphometric parameters in hybrids F1–F2 Triticum spelta L. × Triticum aestivum L.

Sichkar S.M., Dubrovnao.V.

SUMMARY. The nature of inheritance of morphological characters of color of spike and grain and its morphometric parameters in simple and backcross hybrids F1 and F2 of spelt with bread wheat was investigated. It was confirmed that feature of grain width in different species of wheat is determined by a single homologous gene. It was revealed a partial dominance of gene that determine trait of grain length. It was shown that increasing the dose of the genes of one species in wheat backcross hybrid enhances the differences with other species and brings values the quantitative traits of grain to ones of saturating species. It was established that splitting traits of color of spike and grain for F2 occurs by dihybrid cross scheme 15:1 and is controlled by two dominant homologous genes.
