SUMMARY. Based on analysis of the 494 experimentally confirmed sites, phosphorylated by calcium-dependent protein kinases a new motif search profiles were constructed. Applying them to the search in the library of α-, β- and γ-tubulin from Arabidopsis thaliana, a number of potential phosphorylation sites were revealed. Analysis of specified phosphorylation sites, sequence and structural comparison of animal and plant protein kinases, reveal CPK20 (At2g38910), CPK21 (AT4G04720) and GRIK2 (At5g60550) as the most promising calcium-dependent protein kinases could contribute to the plant «tubulin code» in A. thaliana.
