Participation of proteins binding actin filaments and microtubules in higher plant cell growth

Shevchenko G.V.

The article highlights data about recently discovered group of regulatory proteins able to bind both actin filaments and microtubules and to take part in plant cell growth. Structure and functional activity of formins AtFH1, AtFH4 and AtFH14, phospholipase PLDδ, and kinesin class KCH14 are discussed. Database search of homologues for the above proteins has been conducted among various groups of plants.
