Molecular aspsects of endosomal cellular transport

SUMMARY. This current review is dedicated to analysis of molecular mechanisms of intracellular trafficking in eukaryotic cells. The different types of cellular transport and metabolic pathways are presented. The role of different cellular structures in various processes of intracellular traffic is reported. The diversity and functional features of transport pathways are shown. The process of intracellular transport of molecular cargo in different types of cells is described. The special attention is drawn to transport processes in plant cell. The roles of cytoskeleton elements in intracellular trafficking are discussed. Further directions of transport mechanisms investigations are discussed.
